Renewable Energy
In recent times, the global, the global community has become increasingly aware of the urgent need to transition away from fossil fuels and towards sustainable and clean energy sources such as Solar Energy and Wind Energy. Divetech Offshore is a preferred contractor for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPIC) companies for supporting works and have established track records of delivering and executing subsea projects in these fields.
Solar Energy
Divetech Offshore is proud to have been part of the consortium that worked to deliver Singapore’s first Offshore Floating Photovoltaic (OFPV) system. Subsea works included amongst others the inspection and maintenance to mooring systems and the connection and burial of subsea power cables from the solar farm consisting of 13,312 panels, 40 inverters and more than 30,000 floats to the national grid.
The farm is slated to produce 6,022,500 kilo-watt hour (kWh) of energy per year, offsetting approximately 4,250 tonnes of carbon dioxide and is a big step for Singapore towards decarbonisation.
On the backdrop of land scarce Singapore, our expertise in the field opens many avenues and opportunities to utilise spaces in the sea, lakes and reservoirs that were previously untapped.
Wind Energy
We have worked alongside leading floating offshore wind (FOW) providers, covering subsea support and preparation works on wind farm installation assets prior to project mobilisation to offshore wind farm off the coast of Taiwan.
